Direction
- Combatant Commands and Services ensure that robust C4ISR functionality is included annually in its major exercises.
- Operational evaluation of interoperability and information assurance be conducted during these exercises.
- The operational test community with the NSA and appropriate information warfare centers shall assist in the planning, conduct, and evaluation of the interoperability and information assurance aspects of these exercises.
- The Committee further directs that the Director, Operational Test and Evaluation establish a process using OT&E of the systems on his oversight list and exercises conducted by Combat Commands and the Services to monitor the Department’s ongoing efforts to improve interoperability and information assurance.
